Appliance & Large Item Pick Up Information

To have an appliance removed you must purchase a sticker before Noon the Tuesday prior to the scheduled pick-up, (which would be before noon on the third Tuesday of the month). If an item does not have a sticker, it will not be picked up. Each sticker is individually numbered at the time of purchase and your name and street address will be filed at the Town Hall office with that sticker number. The stickers can be purchased at the Town Hall.

Please do not remove any tags or metal parts from the appliance. Do remove any chords that may be hanging.

Large Bulky Item and Small Bulky Item Pick Up.

Large items are considered to be couches, mattress or box springs, grills (no tank), treadmills, recliners, carpet or pads (per room), etc.

Small Bulky Items are microwaves, chairs (kitchen), small tables, toilets, etc. These items are generally smaller in size and weight than items identified as large bulky items.

Stickers must also be purchased by Noon the Tuesday before the scheduled monthly pick-up. These dates are scheduled for the 3rd Wednesday of each month. These items must be located at the roadside.

The cost for a large bulky item sticker is $20.00 per item.  The cost for a small bulky item sticker is $10.00 per item.

Note: TV's, Electronic Items or anything with Freon can no longer be picked up.

This service is offered to Town of Buchanan residents only and proof of residency may be requested. The appliance and bulky item pick-up procedures, rules and dates are subject to change at the Town's discretion. Any questions, please feel free to call the Town Hall at 734-8599

You should not put these items on the roadside until the night before the once-a-month pick-up date. Any items that can't wait until the scheduled dates, you will have to haul to the Outagamie County Landfill or call GFL and pay them directly for a special separate pick up.
